Today’s Thought: It Was My Turn

Have you had to deal with a company whose website needs an Einstein to figure out how to find a solution to your question? Today was my turn. I thought it was going to be easy. That’s what the chat digital assistant told me. I’m comfortable dealing with technology so I said to myself, “no problemo.” Twenty minutes later all I wanted to do was to talk to a human being. There were no phone numbers on the website. There were lots of links to FAQs. It’s a big company so I went to Google and got a phone number. After answer ten questions to a digital assistant on the phone I was put on hold until I got a real person (or was it a real person. I could no longer tell the difference between real and digitalized; but my tired brain stopped functioning). I got through more questions to confirm my identity, I wasn’t sure of my identity at that moment, but I gave it my best shot. Five minutes later I was assured that my issue would be resolved in 3 days. I felt like I was dealing with them for three days. I did take the phone number and made a new contact in my iPhone. No more messing with their great website.
