Navigating Troubled Times

Spread the love

The old fashioned hand held compass is still a useful tool. It is giving way to modern GPS tools connected to satellites and internet connections providing instant guidance. If you’re hiking in a wilderness area anywhere in the world an old fashioned compass or the modern GPS units are essential. There’s another type of essential compass we need to navigate our way through the world. It is a moral compass. A moral compass doesn’t have a north, south, east, and west. It has two poles: one good and the other evil at its polar extremities. When we know who we are and have a grounded set of ethical and moral values our compass or GPS unit points us in a direction where we can navigate troubled times, misguided leaders, and challenging events, and emerge emotionally and spiritually intact.
