I’m going to be kind to me today. I’ll have an extra glass of cold iced tea, take a break to read a book, and send myself a text telling me I’m doing fine.
When I was in basic training, the drill sergeant would come through at 4:30 a.m. screaming, “Get up, you’re snoozing, you’re losing.” I don’t get up at 4:30 a.m., but I do rise early and I plan to shine, shine, shine.
Events put a crimp in my lifestyle. No pity party. I’ll adjust, smile, and move on.
