Ranting may help one feel better, it usually leaves those who listen to the rant drained. When we take our strong emotions to improve situations we transform our emotions into something special.

💡 Something to Think About
Whether we like it or not, we are connected. We depend on each other. How it all works out depends on how well we all learn to play together. It’ not always easy being connected. There are many rough spots. Bruises happen. Yet, in spite of the bruises, we remain connected and need each other as we make our trip around the sun.

💡 Something to Think About
A good friend is like an old shirt you don’t want to discard.
A good friend is the song that lifts your spirits.
A good friend is with you however you feel.
A good friend will share your load on days when you are tired or weak.
A good friend will toss you a life preserver whenever you need one.
A good friend knows when to be quiet and when to speak.
💡 Something to Think About
What do you want to be when you grow up? We often ask this question of children. I still ask this question of myself. When I look back over my answers to that question I see how I have changed. I am open to learning, growing, and evolving. I think I’ll take a break and think about what I want to be when I grow up. How about you?
💡 Something to Think About
Somethings we’ll never understand. Continually asking why and not hearing a response only leads to anxiety and stress. There are time when we have to let go of the why, trust that something good will come out of it, and move on.
💡 Something to Think About
If I get caught up in the news and digital media I can quickly enter a dark hole. Instead, I like to see parents pushing young children on swings, pick up basketball games, picnics in the park, people in love, friends talking, and people being neighborly. There are lots of good people doing good things and working to hold society together. It’s all going to be okay.Â
💡 Something to Think About
I went to the supermarket today. When I returned to my car and packed the groceries away in the trunk I saw a car turning down my row (wrong direction). Another driver was pulling out of a parking space and heading toward the wrong direction car. Both cars were facing each other ten feet apart, neither one moving. Finally, the car going the wrong way squeezed between the car going the right way and the parked cars. One was there first, one was in the right. This is how most arguments start and usually head down the wrong path. What if both drivers considered alternatives? The right driver could have pulled back into the vacated parking space. The wrong way driver could have carefully backed up. Sometimes, it’s important to put our pride on the shelf and add a bit of humility. Life would be a lot easier.
💡 Something to Think About
Contemplating a change? Weighing the pros and cons? There is no perfect answer. The lack of assurance shouldn’t stop us from casting off all tethering lines and stepping out into the unknown. It is my believe that once we cast off any ties to what we are leaving and step boldly toward our change that things being to fall in place and the change works out. Take no half steps, use  no safety nets. You can do this.
💡 Something to Think About
We seldom get everything we dream about; however, if we don’t dream, our basket will likely be empty. Dream on. Dare to try and fail and try again. You might surprise yourself and pick a beautiful dream off the tree of life.
