Christmas Eve is a special time for many. Like many, my Christmas will be different, but I’ll be no less grateful. I have wonderful memories of Christmas’s past. I’ll make Christmas day a special one, COVID-19 won’t stop me. A daughter who lives close by will share the day with me and we’ll celebrate and rejoice. Don’t let COVID-19 sap your joy.

The slower we go, the more we see, the better we feel, and relationships blossom. Take time for yourself. Take time for others. Let the chaos pass by without touching it.

Discovering our real self is similar to peeling onions, we go deeper one layer at a time. Sooner or later, we’ll stop peeling knowing that we no longer need to search, we’re fine just the way we are.

You don’t have to go far to hunt for a beautiful pearl, it is within you. Wipe away the dust, negative thoughts, and anything else that hides the beautiful you.

Last night I went outside to watch for shooting stars. A cold front was passing through and making south Texas feel a bit like winter (just a tad). I looked into a cloudless sky and saw the constellation Orion. I stood gazing into the sky, one with the universe. It felt good to be alive. My heart filled with wonder. Wouldn’t you know it, a moment before I decided to go inside a shooting star flashed across the sky. I want to sing and dance.
