Lentils a Super Healthy Food

Lentils are grouped with beans and peas as part of the legume family.  Lentils are high in protein and fiber and low in fat, which makes them a healthy substitute for meat. Lentils are loaded with folate, iron, phosphorus, potassium.

I’m using my slow cooker to make lentil soup today. It’s been cooking for thirty minutes and the fragrance is already making me hungry. By mid afternoon, I’ll have to start sampling it to make sure it is coming along (LOL).
