It’s hard to see someone we love suffer, especially when we know they are the cause of their suffering. Arguing, pleading, and cajoling all fail to bring about the changes we know are necessary. Better to save our energy and turn to good we can do. If the one we love, wants to change, we can be ready to offer a hand.
