A sense of belonging from our physical and mental health cannot be separated. The social ties that accompany a sense of belonging are a protective factor helping manage stress. When we feel we have support and are not alone, we often cope more effectively with difficult times in our lives. Coping well with hardships decreases the physical and mental impact of these situations.
The most crucial ingredient to building a sense of belonging is effort. You cannot belong if you don’t choose to make the effort to engage with others. Put in effort to seek activities and groups of people with whom you share common interests.

So true. A recluse has no excuse. 🙂
Thank you for your comment. I’ve had personal experience with this health tip. When my wife died, I knew I had to make an effort to connect with others if I was to heal. It was partly through the connections I made that took me out of the darkness. Have a great day. Shine on! Ray
I’m sorry for your loss. Yes, the darkness can be dangerous. Great effort is required to pierce through it. I’m so glad that you have managed to. 🙂
Trrveen, Thank you for your kind words. Keep the shine on!😎
