“My friend, the incredible and generous poet, Willie Perdomo, once told me to work on my writing in pieces, breaking it down, and do a bit each day. I needed his wisdom. Because I can get overwhelmed. Left to my anxiety, I’ll ambush myself before I even begin because I think I have to know the entire life of a story and that it must be a single breath. “Never let your head hang down. Never give up and sit down and grieve. Find another way.”
💡 Something to Think About
Change can be a good thing. Changing from an unhealthy lifestyle to a healthy life style is one example. Change isn’t easy, otherwise, we’d all have healthy lifestyles. When we make our desired change more attractive than what we are holding on to, change becomes easier. Think about a change you want to make and make it attractive. Think about what you want to let go and make it unattractive. You’ll be on your way to making the change you’ve wanted to make.
