A Better Life ~ Slow Down

Is it time to slow down? Everywhere I go I see people rushing. I wonder what is so important that makes them lose connection to the people around them. When I’m at the supermarket, I’ll often have a near collision with someone pushing a food carriage as if it were in a race. The same is true on the roadway, speed is of the essence. I think some folks are racing to see who can get to the next red light the fastest. Slowing down isn’t stopping, it’s more like becoming aware of what is happening around us. When we become aware of what is happening it changes our pace, much like changing the beat of the music.
