Simple Tips to Feel Better
“If you’re feeling down, simple activities like going for a walk in nature, petting a dog or cat, kissing a loved one, and yes, even forcing yourself to smile, can help those neurotransmitters do their job and raise your mood.” Source
NOTE: Step one to feeling better is to stop doing what you are doing if you’re feeling down. Take a ten minute joy-filled break and do something that brings you joy (the above quote offers great suggestions). When you get back to work, you feel energized and more alive. The folks around may wonder what’s wrong, and ask, “Why are you smiling?”

I couldn’t agree more
Great blog post! I completely agree that taking a short break and doing something enjoyable can help improve your mood and energy levels. I was wondering if you have any other tips for those really tough days when it’s hard to even get out of bed?

Thanks for your comment, Annie. I share what I do each morning and it gets me off on the right foot. When I wake up the first thing I do is to thank God for the new day, my health, and the opportunities coming my way. I roll up on the side of the bed and aloud announce, “I feel great” (even if I don’t). I’ll look in the bathroom mirror (sometimes I scare myself – lol) and speak to myself, “Ray, you’re going to have a great day.” I usually do. Hope your day is filled with joy, love, and happiness. Ray
