Thinking Out Loud: Don’t Be Fooled

Spread the love

Today’s Thinking Out Loud reflection is on Harper Lee’s  work, To Kill a Mockingbird.

“Just remember that sometimes, the way you think about a person isn’t the way they actually are.” ~ Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird

Note: Have you ever made snap judgments? I have. Have your snap judgments ever been wrong? Mine have. I’ve made snap judgments thinking the worst of folks and I’ve made snap judgments thinking the best of folks. I let my judgment be obscured by a fake smile or words I wanted to hear. My errors taught me a lot. I’ve learned that it’s best to be observant and see what their actions tell me about them. How do they treat others? Are their words inspiring, kind, and compassionate? Do they lie? Do they try to harm others? Is their ego the center of their universe?
