Have patience with all things – but first with yourself. Never confuse your mistakes with your value as a human being. You are perfectly valuable, creative, worthwhile person simply because you exist. And no amount of triumphs or tribulations can ever change that. ~ Saint Francis de Sales
NOTE: Oftentimes the toughest critic in our lives is the critic we see in the mirror. We evaluate how we look. We critique ourselves by saying things such as, “That was dumb.” The next time you stand in front of the mirror take a cue from Saint Francis de Sales and say, “I am a perfectly valuable, creative, worthwhile person simply because I exist.” How does that make you feel? Did you try it? Say over and over until it becomes part of your belief system.
