When we view people who have different ideas than us, look differently than us, or criticize us as our enemies, we create an insular world for ourselves. Instead of digging in and thinking how to hold fast to our world view, we can open ourself to learning and growth. We don’t have to accept everything that’s tossed at us, but one never knows, we may harvest a gem.
