I like Roy T. Bennett’s quote, ““Stay strong, stay positive, and never give up.” I reflect on my life and if I knew beforehand the challenges I’d face I would have thought only a fool would walk down that road. The crazy thing about it, whatever road we choose we can’t escape the challenges. We may as well admit were fools and toss ourselves into the mix and start walking down our road. We’ll run into challenges sooner or later. They’re there. They bite, the challenge, and they test us to see if we are man or woman enough to move on the next challenge. Imagine playing the board game Monopoly. If we back away from the challenge and refuse to confront it, we get a go directly to jail, don’t pass Go card. And, in jail we remain until we choose to take on the challenge. If you think only a fool would take on the challenge, join the club, we’re all fools taking on every challenge, proving our worth to carry on. We tattooed Roy T. Bennett’s words on our body, “Stay Strong, Stay Positive, and Never Give Up.”
“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.” ~ Mother Teresa
I am wild, I will sing to the trees,
I will sing to the stars in the sky,
I love, I am loved, he is mine,
Now at last I can die!
I am sandaled with wind and with flame,
I have heart-fire and singing to give,
I can tread on the grass or the stars,
Now at last I can live!

Too much screen time can negatively impact your wellness, whether you’re on social media or not. Scrolling on your phone (no matter what you’re doing) can negatively impact your everyday life — especially at night. Mobile phones emit a blue light that causes problems by affecting your sleep and potentially your eyesight with constant exposure. Source
Note: You ever ride by a school bus pickup stop and see the kids waiting for the bus? What are they doing? Are they talking with one another? From my experience, if there are 10 kids waiting for the bus they’re not engaged with each other. They are all staring at their phones and they are strangers to the people standing next to them. How do we learn to engage in meaningful conversations if we don’t participate in meaningful conversations? How do learn to understand one another if we are not in personal communication? Meaningful conversations is important to our mental health.

Thank you. Two words expressing an appreciation to another for something the other did. One’s thank you is an expression of respect offered to the person being thanked. One’s thank you acknowledges that the person you thanked played an important role in an activity where your lives intersected. Here’s a tip to give your “thank you” some pop. When you express a thank you be specific in identifying how he/she helped you. Be lavish in your praise. The more thank you’s we spread around the more we contribute to a more civil society. Who can you text, email, or send a card to today offering a hearty thank you?
“Stuff your eyes with wonder, he said, live as if you’d drop dead in ten seconds. See the world. It’s more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories.” ~ Ray Bradbury
