Today’s Poem: Love After Love by Derek Walcott

Love After Love

Derek Walcott

The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other’s welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

Today’s Photo ~ Two is Better than One

Two is always better than one.

Having coffee with the special person in your life provides a chance to speak with each other, capture each other’s smile, and bathe in the love that comes from their eyes.

Today’s Photo ~ What’s Around the Turn?

We may not know what’s around the turn; if we have courage, we’ll find out. It will turn out just fine.

Think About It ~ Don’t Worry

Our personal river takes many a turn, in the end it ALWAYS ends up where it is supposed to end up. Not to worry.
