COVID-19 Is a Bummer – It Can’t Stop Good Things From Happening

Here are a few of the good things I witnessed or experienced today:

  • A friend text me a beautiful photo of her yard and how she is creatively using her time to make it a peaceful setting.
  • My fig tree is showing lots of sign of growth this spring. I’m anticipating a bumper crop of fresh figs and so are the mockingbirds.
  • A hummingbird flew very close to my window as to say, “Ray, it’s all going to turn out okay.” Thanks, hummingbird.
  • I listened to Feeling Good Again by Robert Earl Keen and thought, ‘yah, it will feel so good to feel so good again.’

What I share are seemingly small and inconsequential things, but they are priceless to me.

Grateful for all the above.

Here are a few of the good things I witnessed or experienced today:

  • Went to my local supermarket this morning. I hate wearing the mask, but it’s what we’re supposed to do. I was greeted by a worker who sanitized my cart and sent me off with smile. Thanks for keeping me safe worker.
  • Everyone at the market was trying to maintain social distance, it’s not easy, but I see so many people trying their best.
  • I wasn’t able to buy kiwi’s but I did get blackberries, blueberries, and mandarin oranges. Keeping the vitamin C flowing.
  • A piece of dark chocolate and a cup of hot coffee make it a good day. I had both and it was great.

What I share are seemingly small and inconsequential things, but they are priceless to me.

Grateful for all the above.

Here are a few of the good things I witnessed or experienced today:

  • Strong winds whipped through yesterday afternoon and knocked shingles off my roof. My insurance company was right on it. Everything is better when we work together.
  • 215FB7AA-9831-4353-B4AA-0D68EEBA3AE7I went for a walk this morning (can’t wait for the gym to open), and saw this beautiful yellow wild flower standing alone, waiting for you and me.
  • I have a large rosemary plant in the yard. I put rosemary on tofu and baked it to go with my dinner. What a great fragrance. I’m already salivating. LOL

What I share are seemingly small and inconsequential things, but they are priceless to me.

Grateful for all the above.

🤗 Feel Good Hack ~ Make Friends With Yourself

“So be gentle with yourself; show yourself the same kindness and patience you might show a young child – the child you once were. If you won’t be your own friend, who will be?” ~ Dan Millman

🤗 Feel Good Hack ~ Rx for Good Health: Gratitude

“Gratitude improves psychological health. Gratitude reduces a multitude of toxic emotions, from envy and resentment to frustration and regret. Robert Emmons, a leading gratitude researcher, has conducted multiple studies on the link between gratitude and well-being. His research confirms that gratitude effectively increases happiness and reduces depression.”

Suggestion: At the dinner table go round and share grateful stories from the day. Here’s a suggested starter sentence, “I’m grateful for . . . because . . . “

A reader, Nick, shared good things he witnessed happening. Awesome, Nick.

  • I had a very similar experience at my local Starbucks. The barista at the drive thru had a hard time putting on her gloves, we both just smiled and had a good chuckling bonding moment together of “we all get it and are in this together”
  • I was grateful they were even open in the first place to be able to get coffee!
  • The gentleman behind the counter, and now “new glass sheild,” at the CVS was very helpful and cheerful as he helped those of us in line figure out how we could ring up our items.
  • Just grateful for people like you Ray who are finding the positive in the little things and making us all feel alittle better.
  • Grateful for Easter Sunday and all its meaning!
  • Peace and blessings.

Here are a few of the good things I witnessed or experienced today:

  • I went through the Starbucks drive-through window and purchased my coffee for the week. The barista was wearing a mask and gloves and was totally upbeat. Where’s the tip jar!
  • I’m streaming  upbeat, happy music hope the neighbors can’t hear me belting out a few songs. LOL
  • Filled up the bird feeder and twenty minutes later it was busier than Chicago O”Hara during a peak normal time. The birds bring me lots of joy and I am grateful.

What I share are seemingly small and inconsequential things, but they are priceless to me.

Grateful for all the above.

🤗 Feel Good Hack ~ You Are the Light

“Visualize a golden light within you and spread it out. First to those about you – your circle of friends and relatives – and then gradually to the world. Keep on visualizing God’s golden light surrounding our earth.” ~ Peace Pilgrim

🤗 Feel Good Hack ~ Lessons Learned

“You’ll learn, as you get older, that rules are made to be broken. Be bold enough to live life on your terms, and never, ever apologize for it. Go against the grain, refuse to conform, take the road less traveled instead of the well-beaten path. Laugh in the face of adversity, and leap before you look. Dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. March to the beat of your own drummer. And stubbornly refuse to fit in.” ~ Mandy Hale
