Today’s Quote: How Are You Living Your Life?

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ― Albert Einstein

Waiting ~ A Poem by John Burroughs

Waiting

John Burroughs

Serene, I fold my hands and wait,
    Nor care for wind, nor tide, nor sea;
I rave no more ‘gainst time or fate,
    For lo! my own shall come to me.

I stay my haste, I make delays,
    For what avails this eager pace?
I stand amid the eternal ways,
    And what is mine shall know my face.

Asleep, awake, by night or day,
    The friends I seek are seeking me;
No wind can drive my bark astray,
    Nor change the tide of destiny.

What matter if I stand alone?
    I wait with joy the coming years;
My heart shall reap where it hath sown,
    And garner up its fruit of tears.

The waters know their own and draw
    The brook that springs in yonder height;
So flows the good with equal law
    Unto the soul of pure delight.

The stars come nightly to the sky;
    The tidal wave unto the sea;
Nor time, nor space, nor deep, nor high,
    Can keep my own away from me.

Today’s Quote: What Are You Feeding Your Mind: Doubts or Confidence?

I always say the only limitations are in your mind, and if you don’t buy into those limits, you can do a helluva lot more than you imagine. ~ Marshall Ulrich

Today’s Quote: What Are You Waiting For, An Invitation?

“You’re off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So… get on your way!”
― Dr. Seuss

Healthy Tips: Keep It In The Vault

Keep Confidentiality and Respect Boundaries ~ Respecting private information and boundaries ensures that trust remains unbroken.

Why it matters: Trust is broken when people feel disrespected or exposed.

Romantic Relationship Example:

If your partner shares a personal struggle, keep it between you two. If they find out you told someone else, it can break their trust.

Friendship Example:

If a friend confides in you about a sensitive situation, never share it with others—even if it seems harmless. For example, if they tell you about job struggles, don’t mention it to mutual friends unless they give permission.

Dreams ~ A Poem by D H Lawrence

Dreams

D. H. Lawrence

All people dream, but not equally.
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind,
Wake in the morning to find that it was vanity.

But the dreamers of the day are dangerous people,
For they dream their dreams with open eyes,
And make them come true.

Inspirational Quote: No Limits

Believe there are no limits but the sky. ~ Miguel de Cervantes

Don’t let naysayers, critics, or false beliefs drag you down. Everything is possible.

Light it Up

The news can get us down. The naysayers near us can get us down. We have a choice, we don’t have to listen to them. We can believe that the impossible is possible. We can focus on what we can do to make our lives better and contribute in a positive way to the lives of those around us. Darkness only wins when we refuse to shine our light. Light up your space. Light it up!

A Reflection on Success and Hope

It doesn’t matter where you live, we often find ourselves rooting for our favorite teams. We give them our emotional loyalty. When they win, we win with them. When they lose, especially a big game, we are devastated. For many, our favorite teams are a part of our persona. They take hold of our hidden dreams to be successful, noticed, and better than the rest. Although we may never achieve that kind of status or notoriety, when our teams win championships it’s as if we did it. I wonder if professional athletes understand how much we depend on them to elevate our spirits and lift us out of the often ordinary struggles with living. In some ways the same applies to us. When we are successful and live life confident that we can overcome any challenge that comes our way, we give hope to those who are frightened and fearful of stepping out and embracing life.
