COVID-19 Is a Bummer – It Can’t Stop Good Things From Happening

Here are a few of the good things I witnessed or experienced today:

  • It poured rain today in San Antonio. Grateful for the rain. The aquifer will get a recharge shot. Grateful for clean drinking water.
  • Viktor Frankl’s book, Man’s Search for Meaning, became the foundation for my doctoral dissertation and much of my life’s work. Today, I thought of Dr. Frankl and was grateful for his knowledge and wisdom. He endured the Nazi concentration camps and brought out of it an enduring message that is important to any generation facing a crises. He says, “Those who have a ‘why’ to live, can bear with almost any ‘how’.” I have my “Why” I hope you have discovered your “Why” as well. Grateful

We’re another day closer to winning this battle. We keep doing the right things, exercise patience, act compassionately toward one another, we’ll get through in fine style.

The little things are priceless treasures to me. They brighten my day. I hope your day is filled to overflowing with the little things that make life worth living.

Grateful for all the above.

We’re another day closer to winning this battle. Lots of smart and dedicated people across our globe are hard at work to find a vaccine and successful treatment. There is no doubt, it will happen.

Here are a few of the good things I witnessed or experienced today:

  • I write this post on Mother’s Day and can’t help but think of my mom. My mom was the daughter of immigrants. Her mom died when she was two and she never got past 4th grade. Yet, one of my earliest memories is my mom taking me to the public library to get a library card. She instilled in me a desire to learn and taught me early on how to respect women. Thanks Mom. Say a prayer for me. Grateful.
  • My deceased wife was a great mom to our 5 daughters. She was an example of strength, compassion, kindness and wisdom. They all have become wonderful women and mothers. Thanks, Babe. Say a prayer for me and the girls. Grateful.
  • It’s a warm, sunny, lazy feeling kind of south Texas afternoon. It’s time for a large iced tea, bowl of strawberries, and the patio.

We’re another day closer to kicking COVID-19’s butt. It’s going to happen. You know it. Stay strong. Don’t despair. Hang in there.

The little things are priceless treasures to me. They brighten my day. I hope your day is filled to overflowing with the little things that make life worth living.

Grateful for all the above.

  • Impossible to start the day in a lousy mood when I begin the day by thanking God for a great night’s sleep, good health, and a chance at a new day. Yah, I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart.

We’re another day closer to a solution. No naysaying, no back stepping. We’ve got this. Don’t give up. Hold on!

The little things are priceless treasures to me. They brighten my day. I hope your day is filled to overflowing with the little things that make life worth living.

We had the best conversation about this and that and discovered we enjoyed the same BBC comedies. Grateful for my friend stopping. Grateful for the conversation.

Here are a few of the good things I witnessed or experienced today:

  • Good things often happen to me when I least expect them. I went for my daily walk. I met a worker (repairing the street). We started talking. One thing led to another and we were talking politics. Our ideas were different, we listened to each other. We didn’t argue. I came away with an understanding and respect for why he felt the way he did. I hope he left feeling the same way about me and my views. Grateful for a respectful and honest discussion.
  • Three things I’ll do for sure today: Listen to music that makes me feel good. Watch a movie with a good ending. And, find time to relax and be grateful for the life I live.
  • We’re another day closer to a solution. Don’tgive up. Stay strong, keep practicing social distancing, and take time to enjoy all the signs and sights of spring.

The little things are priceless treasures to me. They brighten my day. I hope your day is filled to overflowing with the little things that make life worth living.

Here are a few of the good things I witnessed or experienced today:

  • Four different neighbors stopped me on my walk and asked how I was doing. People caring about each other. We’ll get through. Grateful.
  • Lessons this time is teaching me: 1) Health is really important. 2) Helping each other where possible is essential. 3) Understanding at a deeper level how we are connected throughout the globe in this struggle. It is a human problem. I now see more with my heart than with my eyes.
  • I made a small pizza for dinner (Hey, I’m Italian, right! LOL). It was very good. Grateful.
  • We’re another day closer to a solution. Knowing we’re a day closer is enough to make me dance. Don’tgive up. Stay strong, keep practicing social distancing, and watch for clearing skies.
