Self-compassion is about learning to be kind to yourself and to be self-forgiving of the flaws we all have and the mistakes we all make as human beings. It is the ultimate form of self-love and a prerequisite to real self-confidence. Many people are so controlled by their inner critic that they find the idea of self-compassion to be something they don’t deserve.

🤗 Feel Good Hack ~ Pretend to be Happy
They say you can fake it until you make it, and the same theory works with happiness. A 2012 study published in Psychological Science found that faking a smile and pretending to be happy when you feel stressed can actually decrease your stress levels, making you more joyful.
Today’s Reflection: What Do You See?
You have a choice everyday… You can choose every morning whether you will be depressed and miserable, or whether you will be happy. ~ Norman Vincent Peale
Today’s Reflection ~ Happiness
It is very simple to be happy, but it is very difficult to be simple. ~ Tagore
Today’s Reflection ~ Love
You cannot touch the clouds, you know; but you feel the rain and know how glad the flowers and the thirsty earth are to have it after a hot day. You cannot touch love either; but you feel the sweetness that it pours into everything. Without love you would not be happy or want to play. ~ Anne Sullivan Macy.
“Love Song” Poem by Rainer Maria Rilke
LOVE SONG
When my soul touches yours a great chord sings!
How shall I tune it then to other things?
O! That some spot in darkness could be found
That does not vibrate whene’er your depths sound.
But everything that touches you and me
Welds us as played strings sound one melody.
Where is the instrument whence the sounds flow?
And whose the master-hand that holds the bow?
O! Sweet song—

My Heart Leaps Up ~ Poem by W. Wordsworth on Joy
My Heart Leaps Up
My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
And I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.
– William Wordsworth
Poem on Happiness ~ Buddha
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought.
If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him.
If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought,
happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him. “– Lord Buddha
