Where’s the rush? I watch someone zoom past me only to wait for me at the next light. The world seems to be a better place for me when I take the moment as it happens. If I’m interrupted when I’m doing something I think is important, I’ve found it’s better to yield to the interruption and come back to my work with a calm mind. It’s going to get done, it always does. And, who knows, maybe I did some good by being present to the interruption.

I think crying is a good thing. When my wife died, I cried an infinite number of tears. In retrospect, the tears were part of my healing. I cry for joy at weddings. I’ll cry at a great movie. Give me a good reason and tears will form. Yes, don’t be afraid to cry, Crying can be healing, a sign of joy, a heart singing a love song.
💡 Something to Think About
I made my plans for today, I’ve even made a list. I’ve learned that life generally has a different idea of how my day will unfold. I can take my list and push and pull against the forces I encounter, or, I can roll with it making adjustments as I move through the day. I find that rolling with it keeps anxiety at bay. And, I’m much happier at the end of the day.

I love children. They are constantly inquiring. They leave yesterday behind and begin each new day with fresh eyes. They may fall down, but they’ll get up, shake it off, and begin again. They enjoy being pushed on a swing, eating an ice cream cone, or listening to a parent read a story. Lots of lessons here.
💡 Something to Think About
Will you find time to relax today? Will you escape for a few minutes to refresh your mind? We need to break away from the noise, chaos, and tensions that fill our lives. If we don’t break away, even for a few moments, our thinking becomes dull, our energy evaporates, and life drains from us. Break away, refresh, and renew.
