Inspiring Quote of the Day ~ How to Follow Your Path

“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.”

Photo of the Day ~ Maintain Your Balance

Life all about learning how to stay balanced. When we’re balanced we can navigate through most of life’s journey.

Positive Thought of the Day ~The Journey is the Meaning

There is meaning in every journey that is unknown to the traveler.Dietrich Bonhoeffer

No matter where your journey takes you, it is your journey. It may not be the journey you intended, it may not be the journey you want. It is the journey you have. In your journey, you will discover your purpose in life. Don’t miss it.

Today’s Inspiration ~ Grateful for All

“Be grateful for every single person who was part of your story. The ones that hurt you. The ones that helped you.

Because they all taught you.”

~ Yasmin Mogahed

Today’s Positive Thought ~ Enjoy the Ride

“We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” (E. M. Forster)

Our plans often go amiss. We plan on taking one road and find ourselves on a road we didn’t know existed. Those who don’t resist the new road and turn it into a new adventure find their destiny. Give it your best, and if your best takes you in a direction you didn’t anticipate, buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Today’s Photo ~ It’s Waiting for You

There’s something wonderful waiting on the other side of the mountain. The only way you find out what it is, is to begin your journey and not stop until you’re on the other side. The first step is always the most difficult. The steps become increasingly easy as you journey along.

Today’s Poem ~ Life is a Journey

Life is a Journey

Rabbi Alvin I. Fine

Birth is a beginning
and death a destination
And life is a journey:
From childhood to maturity
and youth to age;
From innocence to awareness
and ignorance to knowing;
From foolishness to desecration
and then perhaps to wisdom.
From weakness to strength or
from strength to weakness
and often back again;
From health to sickness
and we pray to health again.
From offense to forgiveness
from loneliness to love
from joy to gratitude
from pain to compassion
from grief to understanding
from fear to faith.
From defeat to defeat to defeat
until looking backwards or ahead
We see that victory lies not
at some high point along the way
but in having made the journey
step by step
a sacred pilgrimage.
Birth is a beginning
and death a destination
And life is a journey;
A sacred journey to life everlasting

Today’s Poem ~ Desiderata

Desiderata

Max Ehrman

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others,
even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
