One COVID-19 experience I’ve had is to discover the need to engage in conversation with others. I went for a neighborhood walk and I met a friend. We began talking and the next thing I knew, 15 minutes passed by. Yes, we kept social distance while we talked. I was grateful for my friend because I could communicate with another human being. I was grateful I could listen to my friend because I recognized my friend’s need to communicate. A COVID-19 lesson for me, listening and being present to another is a really big deal. Have you had a similar experience?Â
Factoid: The world’s estimated population is 7.6 billion. Life is not about you or me. It’s about us. Imagine 7.6 billion people working together to build a better planet. Imagine 7.6 billion people reaching out and helping each other. I think I’ll continue to imagine.Â

What if . . . I caste worries aside.

What if . . . I offered a kind word to everyone with whom I come in contact with today.
I think I’d have a terrific day. I think I’d be unable to stop smiling. I think I’d sing and dance I’d be so happy.
So many of life’s questions have no answers. Some say live the mystery. That’s one way of putting it. For me, it’s been a choice of choosing a life of despair or choosing a life of hope believing it’s all going to work out. I’ve opted to live a life of hope and a deep belief everything works out. It’s made all the difference for me.
I figured out how to have more time to do the things I like to do. I decided it was too much work minding other folks’ business. I’ll just mind my own. I feel better already!
How wonderful it is to be alive. Yes, there are lots of problems, immense challenges, and turmoil around every corner. Yet, there are also opportunities, kind people, a beautiful planet to observe and explore, and it’s all there waiting for you and me.
The days are growing shorter, summer is in transition to fall. Seasons change. Life changes. How can you make the changes in your life turn into something beautiful?
