A person with an open mind may not always be right or make the right decisions, but he/she has a better chance of getting it right than someone with a closed mind. A closed mind is the product of fear of evidence or new ways of thinking. An open mind is the product of wonder, questioning and searching for truth.

Rise with a smile, turn the coffee on, take a long shower. Today’s going to be your day. Why not? You deserve a good day every now and then. Here’s hoping all your lights will be green, conversations are pleasant, and sometime during the day you’ll fall in love.
Today’s Inspiration ~ Want to Feel Contented?
“True contentment is not having everything, but in being satisfied with everything you have.”

How many people will you meet today? How many of them will you greet with a smile and a good word? How many of them will you take a moment to find out how they are doing? How many of them will you offer to help if you see they’re struggling. You have a chance to change multiple lives through each of your interactions. Never believe you’re not important. To the people you meet today, you are important.

Somethings I find it hard to understand. I don’t understand why folks want to stay angry. I don’t understand why political parties can’t work together. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to search for common ground. I don’t understand why the environment is not a pressing issue. I don’t understand why anyone would think killing solves problems. We’re all riding along through the cosmos on planet Earth. Maybe we should take a time out and throw a big party. We’ll find out we’re pretty much like each other. Let’s enjoy the ride together.

If I don’t get started it won’t get done. If I look at it, it won’t disappear. If it’s important to do, do it. It’s the difference between doers and doubters. Doers get their hands dirty. They get up, get going, and keep going until they get it done. Doubters think about it, worry about it, and let discouragement rule. Be a doer, shake things up and get things done.

Do your ideas conform to what society holds as acceptable? Or, do your ideas and thoughts challenge others to think differently about existing ways of doing and thinking? .If we keep doing things the same way we’ll get the same results, Go to the edge and challenge the status quo.

Today, keep track of how often you laugh versus how often you find yourself angry or upset. Laughter lights up the soul. Anger sets a fire to it. Finding it hard to laugh? Look for humor, it surrounds us. It’s in the face of a young child holding an ice cream cone. It’s in watching people dancing. It’s in eating a taco and getting the salsa all over our hands and face. It’s in the songs we sing aloud when we think no one is listening. C’mon, laugh and laugh loudly.

I’ve not met a person who hasn’t made mistakes. I’ve met some who believe they’ve never made a mistake. Mistakes are our best teachers. They teach us that what we’re doing isn’t working. The mistakes can be in our work, study, and our relationships. If we don’t want to make the same mistake again, we can study the mistake and choose a different way.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Children are frequently asked that question. Their answers change as they gain experience. Are you still growing? What do you want to be when you grow up? The way I see it, if we’re open to life, we never know what surprises life will offer. Age and other demographic descriptions make no difference to life’s surprises. It’s never to late, you’re not too young or too old, it’s all up to you when life surprises you. Say yes to the surprise and watch what wonderful things come your way.
