💡 Something to Think About

If you’re going to stand up for the truth, make sure it’s the truth.

💡 Something to Think About

Are you doing it because you love what you are doing? Are you doing it only for the money and prestige? Which one we choose defines us.

💡 Something to Think About

For every piece of bad news there are hundreds of pieces of good news. Don’t get discouraged by headlines or commentators. People are good. Life is good. It’s all going to turn out well.

💡 Something to Think About

I flew this past weekend for the first time since the pandemic began. It was a breath of freedom. I felt safe. Everyone wore masks. People were considerate and practiced safety health protocols. The airlines made an extra effort to make us all feel save from COVID. It is amazing what we can do when we do it together.

💡 Something to Think About

If someone says something you disagree with, you don’t have to argue. There’s no life rule that mandates argument. There are other choices: silence, asking questions to deeper understand what was said, and gently changing the topic. You’ll find you’ll feel better and relationships will improve.

Recipe for happiness:

Stay close to people who love you.

Smile frequently.

Laugh often.

Practice kindness.

Find peaceful moments.

💡 Something to Think About

Wanting others to be perfect and not make mistakes is not going to happen. Enjoy the imperfections in others and one’s self. It’s part of what makes us human.

💡 Something to Think About

Life tosses us mysteries where there are no answers online or in a book. The mystery has to unfold in a time of its choosing. Trust it.

💡 Something to Think About

Small, simple acts of kindness change the world. Yesterday, while waiting for a flight, I saw a man help a mom who was struggling with two small children and a baby. The baby kicked off a shoe. The man walked a dozen steps to pick it up and hand it to her. It doesn’t sound like much, but it was a big deal to the mom.

💡 Something to Think About

Why is saying, “I love you” difficult? Say “I love you” often to those close to you, back it up with actions. Never let a day end without telling those close to you that you love them.  It will make all the difference.
