You are important. Your life experiences are unique; and, the lessons you’ve learned from your experiences are invaluable. If by chance we meet, I want to hear all about the lessons you learned.Â

Why is it that our neighborhoods have turned into multiple silos? We may not know the names of the people who live next to us. We hide within the walls of our silos venturing out to work, shop, or eat. It’s time to break down the walls and connect with those in our proximity. It takes courage to reach out and introduce one’s self. You never know, you may find a new friend.Â

Bumps and bruises, scrapes and scars, we all get them either figuratively or literally. Each time we bounce back we become a tad stronger, a bit more resilient. In many ways, they have become our teachers.

There’s a big difference between asking why and asking what. , One can ask, “Why are you supporting this candidate?” Or, one can ask, “What is it about this candidate that you like?” See the difference? The first way leads to confrontation. The second way leads to understanding.

You will have doubters. You’ll have people who want you to play it safe. You’ll have people who’ll tell it’s not your time, wait. You can listen to these folks or you can listen to your heart.Â
