O tower of light, sad beauty
that magnified necklaces and statues in the sea,

We’re never stuck. There is always another way. We may not see the other way, however, if we keep looking we’ll find a better way. Keep looking, talk to other people, read everything you can about your challenge. You’ll find it. There is another way.
Joe: “I worked hard on child proofing our house.”
Pete: “Good idea, Joe.”
Joe: “It didn’t work, they still find a way to get in.”
Houses have many doors. It is a metaphor for our minds. When we close all the doors but one, we limit what can come in. With only one door open, we may fall into the trap of only allowing what we want to hear to enter. The more doors we open, the greater our understanding of the world around us. The greatest fear to opening all the doors is that we may have to modify what has become fixed in our minds.
Differences of opinions are the spices that add flavor to life. When we remain open to new ways of viewing our differences, we learn more about each other, and may come to understand why one thinks differently. Keep communicating, keep learning, stay open.
A good laugh is good medicine. Especially the kind of laugh that brings tears to your eyes, makes your belly ache, and forces strange sounds out of you. That’s the kind of laugh that warms the spirit, purges the darkness from the mind, and frees one’s creative spirit. Yes, it’s time to turn the frowns to smiles and the smiles into joyful, heartfelt laughter.
Want to succeed? Persevere. Don’t give up. When the times seem the toughest, grind even harder.
Unkempt gas station bathrooms might be the site of your worst nightmares, but it’s highly unlikely (though not impossible) that they’ll give you a sexually transmitted disease (STD).
STDs can be caused by viruses, bacteria, or parasites. Only parasitic STDs like cra bs (pubic lice) or trichomoniasis have any real chance of being transmitted by sitting on a dirty toilet seat. And even then, the likelihood is extremely low.
Your genital area would need to come into contact with the toilet seat while the parasite is still on it, and alive — and toilet seats don’t provide ideal living situations for parasites.
Exercise a little common sense: Use a toilet seat cover, and don’t linger.
