Positive Thought of the Day ~ Time to Take a Real Walk

Few people know how to take a walk. The qualifications are endurance, plain clothes, old shoes, an eye for nature, good humor, vast curiosity, good speech, good silence and nothing too much.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

I see all the time, folks walking, talking on their smart phones, ear pods blaring in their ears. They may be walking, but they’re losing the benefits of the walk. They may as well be on a treadmill. When we walk as Emerson suggests we open ourselves to a vast new experience. Try it. You’ll come back refreshed and renewed.

Today’s Inspiration ~ Three Ways to be More Fully Alive

“One can remain alive … if one is unafraid of change, insatiable in intellectual curiosity interested in big things and happy in small ways.”

~ Edith Wharton

What If . . .

What if I regained the curiosity of a child? If were to regain the curiosity of a young child, my creativity would know no bounds. I’d take chances and become an explorer of all that piques my interest. Fear would take second place to the possibilities of finding something new. We can’t turn the clock back, however, we can fan the embers of our curiosity and discover more fully the amazing world of which we a part.
