How do you spend your time? Each moment is precious. Our children are young only once, spend time with them. The person you love most, don’t miss a single second, you’ll never regret it. Parents, neighbors, friends, all are precious, never take them for granted. Make each moment with them, a special moment. Wrap your arms around the moment use it as if it is your last moment and don’t let go. The following one-minute YouTube video makes one think about how we use our time.
Years ago, I began reading a book by M. Scott Peck and the first sentence was, “Life is difficult.” I called to Babe (my wife) and hollered, “This guy knows what he’s talking about.” Yes, life is tough. We each have moments. The tough times can knock us down. They can knock the wind out of us. They can leave us for dead. But, you and I are strong. We get up again and again. We don’t quit. The following Vimeo video provides a great pep talk on getting up and not quitting for any reason.
What is the size of the fire in your heart? There is always a burning ember. It’s waiting for you to fan its flames. It’s waiting for you to call on it. It will respond. It will not let you down. It’s the roaring flame in your heart that will pull you through. Failure becomes a teacher. Setbacks become a setup for something better. Getting knocked down becomes an opportunity to rise again, shake it off and press onward.
The runner in this YouTube video fanned the flames of fire in his heart and he wouldn’t quit. Take a lesson from his example.
Every person is capable of greatness. Whether you are young, old, black, white, brown, yellow, red, green, or purple; it doesn’t matter. You can be Catholic, Protestant, evangelical, Morman, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, and not religious at all; you are capable of greatness. You can be male or female; you are capable of greatness.
Every person is capable of greatness. It may be greatness in the eyes of a child, neighbor, or stranger. It may be greatness at work or in front of a crowd of 100,000 people. it doesn’t matter. You are capable of greatness when you take your great gift and develop it to the full and share it with all who come in contact with you. It’s the who you are. The who you are is a wonderful gift. Keep on growing and glowing.

You and I experience tough times. You and I have the stuff to make it through tough times. We were created with an inner toughness to get up after being knocked down.
Tough times don’t keep tough people down for long. They get up, shake the dust, and get going again. It’s what they do. They reach down and find they still have a bit more they give. They don’t save it. They summon it up and give it their all. That’s what they do.
