Today’s Quote ~ Ray Bradbury on Writing

Today’s Quote by Ray Bradbury on Writing

For the first thing a writer should be is – excited. He should be a thing of fevers and enthusiasms. Without such vigor, he might as well be out picking peaches or digging ditches; God knows it would be better for his health. ~  Ray Bradbury, Zen in the Art of Writing

Today’s Quote by Victor Hugo

Today’s Quote

Go out in the world and work like money doesn’t matter, sing as if no one is listening, love as if you have never been hurt, and dance as if no one is watching. ~ Victor Hugo

A New Story Begins Tomorrow

A new serialized story, Doing It Our Way, begins in Tomorrow.

Ray Bradbury describes how I feel about writing.

“If you did not write every day, the poisons would accumulate and you would begin to die, or act crazy, or both. You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you.”
― Ray Bradbury, Zen in the Art of Writing

Write what you love and love what you write. ~ Ray Bradbury

Quote for Today – November 28, 2017

Write what you love and love what you write. – Ray Bradbury

Do You Have The Fire?

Do you have the fire? Is it burning bright enough to drive you through today? Is it burning bright enough to overcome discouragement, disappointment, and failure? The fire is within you. Perhaps it is only a glowing ember. Fan the ember, turn the ember into a raging fire. to fuel your passion. The following short YouTube video is one man’s story of rising out of poverty to achieve his goals. He talks about failure. He talks about discouragement. And, he talks about perseverance and the courage to continue to fan the flames.

Light The Fire

I’m hoping you have a passion to use the awesome gift that is within you. Don’t know what it is? Make a decision, go for it. What do you have to lose? The following YouTube video contains the narration of a poem that was read on a Netflix Tony Robbins special. I found it inspiring. Let’s light the fire, fan the flames, and reach down deep to pull it off.

Believe In Your Possibilities

Do you have a dream? Is it big enough to hold the amazing gift you have to offer? Do you have a dream? Is it grand enough to make a difference? Do you have a dream? Do you have the fire in your belly to chase it? Say a resounding YES to each question. Get inspired. Believe in your possibilities.

Fuel Your Passion

I get inspired by people who won’t quit, who fight the greatest of odds and succeed. They fuel my courage to fight on, to never look back, to only look ahead. These are the people who don’t say life is unfair, they take life as it is and make the most of it. Get inspired by the Blind piano genius Derek Paravicini. You’ll be amazed and have your passions fueled.

Discard The Doubters

This past week I flew from East Lansing, Michigan to O’Hara to catch another flight to San Antonio. While I waited for my plane in East Lansing, a graduate student at Michigan State University and I entered into a conversation. I asked about his studies. He told me he was changing fields because the field he wanted to enter was already full of people. I asked him if everyone was competent, a champion in the field. He said no, but his advisor suggested a shift in majors. I couldn’t convince him to follow his passion. He listened to “The Doubters.” Don’t listen to the doubters. Double down on your dream. Go all in. Get inspired with this short YouTube video.
