Stumbling Along

I’ve never been one delve into the past. I think I am oddity that way. I know lots of folks who like reunions, going to museums, reading historical novels, and going on Facebook to stay in touch or check on folks with whom they grew up. Just thinking about this stuff gives me the hives. I like looking forward to tomorrow, meeting strangers and turning them into friends, and seeking out the next adventure. It’s a good thing to discover our path and stay true to it. We’re all different, that’s for sure. In some ways, life is an adventure where we are constantly refining our search for our path. There are lots of stumbles and potholes on the way. The worse thing is to live a path that someone else defines for you. To me, it’s better to stumble along trying to figure it out. Happy discovering.

What Are You Waiting For?

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Today’s Quote: You’ll Know When You Know

You will recognize your own path when you come upon it, because you will suddenly have all the energy and imagination you will ever need. ~ Jerry Gillies

Know Where You Going – A Quote by Bill Walsh

Your path and purpose will become crystal clear when you begin to trust your vision.

Bill Walsh

Thinking Out Loud ~ Take the Chance on the Adventure

Joseph Campbell says in Reflections on the Art of Living, “Follow your bliss.  . . . The heroic life is living the individual adventure.  . . . Nothing is exciting. if you know what the outcome is going to be.  . . . You enter the forest at the darkest point. Where there is no path. Where there is a way or path it is someone else’s path. You are not on your own path. If you follow someone else’s way, you are not going to realize your potential.” P. 22

Note: When we are young, we often look up to adults we admire and want to be like them. If we’re fortunate, the adults we admire step aside and help us to discover our gift and then encourage us to find the path that leads to developing our gift and sharing it with others. If we are tracked into someone else’s path, we may be successful and rich, but we’ll never fully discover our gift or potential. Take the chance on the adventure. There’s no security. You may get knocked down and forced to confront many challenges. They are there for you to grow, gain wisdom, and strength.

Inspiring Quote of the Day ~ Trust Yourself

“Your path and purpose will become crystal clear when you begin to trust your vision.”

Today’s Inspiration ~ You’ll Recognize the Right Path

“If you find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn’t lead anywhere.”

~ Frank A. Clark

Where are you going?

Where are you going? Don’t Know? That’s a good thing. You’re not trapped into one way of thinking or being. When we’re not trapped into a single path, every path is open to us. We can pick and choose, try one out, if it doesn’t work, try another. There’s no need to worry about choosing a path, you’ll figure it out. One day you’ll look back and know you were on the right path all along.
