Today’s Thought: A Refreshing Rain

I woke up around one in the morning. There was a flash of lightening and crack of thunder, then the rain came. When you live in south Texas, the sound of rain at any time of day is welcomed. I especially like a thunderstorm and rain at night. I was off to dream world within minutes. The storm was over when my alarm sounded. When I walked outside, there was a fresh smell to earth. Rain during a hot summer’s night and the fresh smell of the earth, things to be grateful for.

Inspiring Quote: You’re Stronger than Your Storms

When a storm blows, you must stand firm. For it is not trying to knock you down, it is really trying to teach you to be strong. ~ Joseph M. Marshall III

Today’s Thought: Roll With It

I live in south Texas. The weather is usually hot and dry. When we get storms, they tend to be doozies. Last night around 12:30 a hail storm woke me up. This one was a doozie. It lasted for 30 minutes. My yard was covered with hailstones. By daybreak the hailstones had melted but the storm left plenty of leaves and branches to clean up. Got to roll with it. That’s how it is with a lot of things. We may not like them, but we got to roll with them if we want to get through.
