Singer-Song writer Guy Clark wrote, “Some days you write the song / Some days the song writes you.” Clark’s words describe the flow of life. We can’t choose how the day will go. On the good days, we’re writing the song. On other days, it doesn’t matter what we want, the song writes us. All we can do on those kind of days is to let the song carry us along until it’s finished playing and we can go back to writing our song. Whatever kind of day you’re having, I hope you’re making it a great one.

I am the only one I can change. I waste my time and cause necessary friction with others when I try to change them. I can change my attitude. i can change my behavior. I can change my habits. It’s all up to me. If I don’t change, It’s on me. Not everyone will like my changes. They’re used to the old me. If the old me isn’t working, I want to change into a new me. If other people are unhappy with the new me, that’s not my issue. I have to move on.

I’ve walked into houses/apartments and the environment was filled with nice things, yet, I’ve felt as much at home as in museum. I’ve walked into other houses/apartments and knew I was in a home. I felt I was apart of and not a part from the environment and all who lived there. When I left, I left feeling energized and renewed.

Heart to heart they nurture love and a brilliant aura surrounds them healing wounds, tightening the bonds that tie each to the other. It’s all good.

We’re all novels in progress. We’re writing a new chapter each day from sunrise to sundown. We never have writer’s block since our writing is the acting out of our lives. The people who come into our lives our among the characters in our novel. Some will appear briefly. Others will be part of the drama that unfolds as we live each day. Writers create. Since we are writing our novel with each waking moment, we can choose what we want to happen in our novel. We can create the life we want to live. We’ll have our ups and downs, we can create how we respond to each of them. We can write a great novel with our lives.
