The clearer our vision of where we want to be tomorrow will pull us through today. The more vibrant our vision of tomorrow the more our actions today will create the result we want.

🌾 Today’s Poem ~ Good Timber
Good Timber
Douglas Malloch
The tree that never had to fight
For sun and sky and air and light,
But stood out in the open plain
And always got its share of rain,
Never became a forest king
But lived and died a scrubby thing.
The man who never had to toil
To gain and farm his patch of soil,
Who never had to win his share
Of sun and sky and light and air,
Never became a manly man
But lived and died as he began.
Good timber does not grow with ease,
The stronger wind, the stronger trees,
The further sky, the greater length,
The more the storm, the more the strength.
By sun and cold, by rain and snow,
In trees and men good timbers grow.
Where thickest lies the forest growth
We find the patriarchs of both.
And they hold counsel with the stars
Whose broken branches show the scars
Of many winds and much of strife.
This is the common law of life.
🌞 Today’s Inspiration ~ Are You Ready to Make it Happen?
“Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.” ~ Michael Jordan
🤗 A Better Life ~ Turn the Impossible into the Possible
Imagine, at this moment, that all things are possible for you (given they are technologically possible). What are three things you’d want for yourself? List them. Now, start working to make them your own. Turn the impossible to possible.
👊 Today’s Power Thought ~ Go All In
Go all in all the time. Leave nothing on the table. Go all in to make your relationships the best. Go all in to be successful. You’ll never have regrets.
🌾 Today’s Poem ~ Song of Hope
After to-day
There will away
This sense of sorrow.
Then let us borrow
Hope, for a gleaming
Soon will be streaming,
Dimmed by no gray –
No gray!
While the winds wing us
Sighs from The Gone,
Nearer to dawn
Minute-beats bring us;
When there will sing us
Larks of a glory
Waiting our story
Further anon –
Anon!
Doff the black token,
Don the red shoon,
Right and retune
Viol-strings broken;
Null the words spoken
In speeches of rueing,
The night cloud is hueing,
To-morrow shines soon –
Shines soon!
🍎 Today’s Health Question ~ Which Type of Onion is The Most Nutritious?
The Winner is Red Onions
A 2017 study published in Food Research International found that red onions were most effective at killing human cancer cells compared with other onions thanks to their higher levels of the antioxidants quercetin and anthocyanin. . . . All onions are potent cancer fighters thanks to their high concentrations of the antioxidants anthocyanin and quercetin. . . . . Red onions just happen to be even better at fighting cancer thanks to their high amounts of anthocyanin, which increase the effectiveness of quercetin in attacking cancer-causing free radicals.
✒️ Writers’ Wisdom ~ Does Your Writing Move You Emotionally?
No tears for the writer, no tears for the reader. If you’re not moved by your story, don’t expect your reader to be. Therefore, sob uncontrollably as you compose. Slice onions to abet the process. ~ Teddy Wayne
🤗 A Better Life ~ Hold On
Whatever today is, there is the promise tomorrow will be better. Hold on. Don’t let go.
Tomorrow promises to be better.
