🌞 Today’s Inspiration ~ You Are Lighting it Up!

“Your light is seen, your heart is known, your soul is cherished by more people than you might imagine. If you knew how many others have been touched in wonderful ways by you, you would be astonished. If you knew how many people feel so much for you, you would be shocked. You are far more wonderful than you think you are. Rest with that. Rest easy with that. Breathe again. You are doing fine. More than fine. Better than fine. You’re doin’ great. So relax. And love yourself today.”

~ Neal Donald Walsch

🌞 Today’s Inspiration ~ Love is All

“Where there is love there is life.” – Mahatma Gandhi

💡 Something to Think About

There will always be someone who’ll rub us the wrong way. Silently thank him/her. He/she give us the chance to say no to the emotional trap laid for us. We have the chance to say thank you for making us stronger, more resilient. We have the chance to wish him/her well and move on.

🍎 Today’s Health Question ~ Is When You Eat Related to Weight Gain?

It’s Not When You Eat – It’s How Much You Eat

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Weight Control Information Network web site, “it does not matter what time of day you eat. It is what and how much you eat and how much physical activity you do during the whole day that determines whether you gain, lose, or maintain your weight.”

🌾 Today’s Poem ~ Joy

Joy

Ella Wheeler Wilcox

My heart is like a little bird
That sits and sings for very gladness.
Sorrow is some forgotten word,
And so, except in rhyme, is sadness.

The world is very fair to me –
Such azure skies, such golden weather,
I’m like a long caged bird set free,
My heart is lighter than a feather.

I rise rejoicing in my life;
I live with love of God and neighbour;
My days flow on unmarred by strife,
And sweetened by my pleasant labour.

O youth! O spring! O happy days,
Ye are so passing sweet, and tender,
And while the fleeting season stays,
I revel care-free, in its splendor.

🌾 Today’s Poem ~ All Ye Joyful

All Ye Joyful
J. R. R. Tolkien
Sing all ye joyful, now sing all together!
The wind’s in the tree-top, the wind’s in the heather;
The stars are in blossom, the moon is in flower,
And bright are the windows of night in her tower.

Dance all ye joyful, now dance all together!
Soft is the grass, and let foot be like feather!
The river is silver, the shadows are fleeting;
Merry is May-time, and merry our meeting.

Sigh no more pine, till the wind of the morn!
Fall Moon! Dark be the land!
Hush! Hush! Oak, ash and thorn!
Hushed by all water, till dawn is at hand!

Today’s Smile 😃

Joe: “My wife and I decided we don’t want kids.”

Pete: “That’s a big decision, Joe.”

Joe: “If you want our two kids, we’ll throw in the first months room and board.”

🍎 Today’s Health Question ~ For the Best Health Benefit How fast Should Walk, Jog?

Light to Moderate Jogging is Optimal

First, some exercise reduces your risk of death. Second, the optimal walking/jogging exercise is light to moderate jogging. The optimal speed is between 5 and 7 mph, and if you do 25 minutes about three times a week, you’re all set. Nothing in the data suggests that running more — farther, or faster — will do more to lower your risk of death.

🤗 A Better Life ~ Try, Try, and Try Again

A friend emailed me complaining about his inability to get a vaccine appointment. Instead of complaining, a better way might be to describe what he has done to get an appointment for a vaccine and seek other ideas of what else he can try. Complaining is like spinning wheels in the snow or mud. Try, try, and try again. Eventually something will work.

Have a great day and share your radiant smile.
