Here’s a challenge for you, if you dare to take it. Have a conversation with the person closest to you and name the things that each of you consider undiscussable in your relationship. You’ll touch some hot buttons. If you can set aside the emotions and talk about why they are undiscussable, your relationship may move into a space you never dreamed existed.

✒️ Writers’ Wisdom ~ Discover Your Own Story
“Storytelling is at the heart of life… In finding our own story, we assemble all the parts of ourselves. Whatever kind of mess we have made of it, we can somehow see the totality of who we are and recognize how our blunderings are related. We can own what we did and value who we are, not because of the outcome but because of the soul story that propelled us.” ~ Marion Woodman
👊 Today’s Power Thought ~ It’s An Easy Choice
You can worry about thing you can’t change or do anything about. Or, you can spend time doing something about the things you can change. One takes effort and work. The other takes a lazy mind.

Pete: “Did she look like her online photo?”
Joe: “No he didn’t.”
💡 Something to Think About
Life gets complicated. We quickly discover there is lots of space between the absolute right and wrong poles. It’s in the space between the absolute poles where we negotiate our way through life. Do your best, and move on.
🌾 Today’s Poem ~ The Tenant-For-Life
The Tenant-For-Life
Thomas Hardy
The sun said, watching my watering-pot
“Some morn you’ll pass away;
These flowers and plants I parch up hot –
Who’ll water them that day?
“Those banks and beds whose shape your eye
Has planned in line so true,
New hands will change, unreasoning why
Such shape seemed best to you.
“Within your house will strangers sit,
And wonder how first it came;
They’ll talk of their schemes for improving it,
And will not mention your name.
“They’ll care not how, or when, or at what
You sighed, laughed, suffered here,
Though you feel more in an hour of the spot
Than they will feel in a year
“As I look on at you here, now,
Shall I look on at these;
But as to our old times, avow
No knowledge–hold my peace! . . .
“O friend, it matters not, I say;
Bethink ye, I have shined
On nobler ones than you, and they
Are dead men out of mind!”
✒️ Writers’ Wisdom ~ Not a Good Writer? Maybe You’re a Great Rewriter
“I have never thought of myself as a good writer. Anyone who wants reassurance of that should read one of my first drafts. But I’m one of the world’s great rewriters.”
