There are days when we wonder if we’ll ever make it through. Make it though we must. There’s always a way out. If we don’t quit, we may discover the way out or through was waiting for us to open the door and step out..

Today’s Health Tip ~ It’s Cranberry Season
One of my favorite fall fruits are cranberries. The new crop was available in my local market. I bought a large bag and put them in the freezer. This morning, I added a handful of cranberries to my oatmeal. Cranberries are a superfood. Here’s what they can do for you:

Today’s Poem ~ Freedom
I will not follow you.
I would not breathe a word, my bird,
To bring thee here anew.
I love the free in thee, my bird,
The lure of freedom drew;
The light you fly toward, my bird,
I fly with thee unto.
And there we yet will meet, my bird,
Though far I go from you
Where in the light outpoured, my bird,
Are love and freedom too.
Today’s Inspiration ~ Want to be Happy?
“Make up your mind to be happy. Learn to find pleasure in simple things.”
Something to Think About
It takes a discerning reader to dig for the truth in news stories. The discerning reader searches multiple sources and tries to collect the pieces to the puzzle that reveal the truth of a situation or event. Even with a deep search, it still is possible to be missing several pieces to complete the puzzle. Paying attention to only media sources that reflect our philosophy leaves aa big hole in understanding of what is true or false. It takes more time to dig deeper into different sources of news stories; the search, however, yields a much clearer picture of reality. As for me, I like to make up my own mind. I don’t want to surrender what I think or feel to a single media or governmental source.
What If . . .
What if you lost what you treasure most, what would you do? When we face a great loss, we may wonder if we have the strength to go on. We have no choice but to get up and walk into the unknown trying to make sense of what happened and where we are going. It’s not easy. It takes courage. It takes a deep abiding faith that if one keeps walking everything will work out. Keep on walking, head held high. Keep on walking.
Today’s Power Thought ~ Growing Stronger with Each Challenge
Each time you conquer a steep challenge, you conquer the fear in yourself. Confidence grows, courage replaces fear.
Today’s Smile
Joe: “I took my girlfriend to an art museum and she asked me what I saw when we were standing before a picture.”
Pete: “What did you say?”
Joe: “When I said, “I see a sad, bitter woman who feels like she is wasting her life, she said, “I meant the picture.”
A Better Life – Learning is Part of our Human Nature
One of the joys of being human is that we can continue to learn and apply what we’ve learned to life. We can learn from our setbacks to set us up for success. We can learn by asking the right questions and seeking answers to those questions. We can learn by developing a curious nature. We can learn at all times, in all places, and in every circumstance.
Today’s Poem ~ The Lovers
into each other they mature and grow.
Like axles, their forms tremblingly orbit,
round which it whirls, bewitching and aglow.
Thirsters, and they receive drink,
watchers, and see: they receive sight.
Let them into one another sink
so as to endure each other outright.
