There are moments in our lives when we look back and think, “I wish I had done it differently.” Unfortunately, none of us have twenty-twenty vision into the future. Our hindsight is much better. I think it’s better to drop hindsight and any reminiscing about what I could have or should have done. It’s over. What’s done is done. It’s better to wave goodbye, take what you’ve learned from the situation and move on. Life happens now and our hopes await for us.

A Better Life ~ We Are Not Our Past
The only power our past has over us, is the power we give it. We are not our past, we are our present. There is no law requiring us to continue doing what we’ve done in the past. If it didn’t work, we can change it. It’s within our power. What we are becoming unfolds with each of our daily decisions.
Today’s Good Word ~ Continuity
Continuity provides us with a sense of stability. It allows us to reasonably expect something to happen. Continuity connects the past to the present and the present to the future. When we connect the best of what was in our lives with the present, we can think of ways to make more of what was good happen in the present. We can then look toward the future and project the good that was and is into the future. Imagine living a life that focus on the good that was, is, and will be. It will be a happy life.

Today’s Reflection ~ Looking Ahead
There is nothing you can do about the past except keep it there. ~ Michael Connelly
Today’s Quote on The Present Moment
“Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift” – Eleanor Roosevelt
Something to Think About
Live in the present. The past is gone; the future is unknown – but the present is real, and your opportunities are now.
Maxwell Maltz
Living in the present moment is difficult for me. My mind has a way of grabbing ahold of the past or jumping to the future. Is it that way for you?
A wise friend gave me advice and it helped me to put a saddle on my mind and keep it under control
My wise friend suggested:
1. The past is the reservoir of events where I was loved, strong, and successful against great challenges. Use them as a foundation for today.
2. The future is where I want to go. My friend told me to dare to dream a big dream worthy of me and to use it as my GPS.
3. The present moment is where I am to build on the foundation the past laid for me and activily do the hard work of moving toward my dream.
This advice has been very helpful for me. It’s not always easy to follow, but it serves as an anchor. Let me know if you find it helpful for you.
Today’s Quote on Regrets
Regrets are a waste of time. They’re the past crippling you in the present.
Federico Fellini
Today’s Quote by Oscar Wilde
Everyone may not be good, but there’s always something good in everyone. Never judge anyone shortly because every saint has a past and every sinner has a future.
Oscar Wilde
Today’s Quote by Thomas Jefferson on Dreams
