If
Emily Dickinson
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

Life
James Whitcomb Riley
Life is a gift to be used every day,
Not to be smothered and hidden away;
It isn’t a thing to be stored in the chest
Where you gather your keepsakes and treasure your best;
It isn’t a joy to be sipped now and then
And promptly put back in a dark place again.
Life is a gift that the humblest may boast of
And one that the humblest may well make the most of.
Get out and live it each hour of the day,
Wear it and use it as much as you may;
Don’t keep it in niches and corners and grooves,
You’ll find that in service its beauty improves.
Here’s a mental checklist:
What makes you sad? Do less of it.
What makes you glad? Do more of it.
What makes you frown? Do less of it.
What makes you smile? Do more it.
Put a zip in your step, a smile on your face, and a good word on your lips and you’ll carry the sunshine wherever you go this day.
Saying, I love you to those you live with.
Calling or visiting an aging parent.
Encouraging someone who is depressed.
Offering a helping hand to someone who needs a pick me up.
Putting on the screensaver and giving a child full attention.
Listening to a friend who is grieving.
Giving thanks for blessings.
C’mon, one more step, one more day, we’re moving together, closer to victory over this darn virus. Don’t Quit.
Don’t Give Up!
A man walks into a police station and tells the desk sergeant, “My wife’s gone missing.”
The desk sergeant says, – “How long has your wife been missing?”
-The man replies, “About a month.”
The desk sergeant says, “A month?! Why are you just reporting it.”
The man answer, “- “I can’t find any clean clothes.”
Moving your bowels regularly takes fiber — lots of it. We’re talking about 3 to 5 cups of fruits and vegetables every day. Go easy on meat and dairy and load up on produce. Just be sure you add it to your diet gradually. Skip fast and prepared foods. They may be quick and easy, but they’re almost always low in fiber.
“When I rise up, let me rise up joyful like a bird. When I fall, let me fall without regret like a leaf.”
“Just go outside and look at something and write it down and you’ll find it is a very nice piece of writing.”
Tough times don’t last, hang in there. Good times, don’t last. Enjoy each moment while you have it. Grow in strength, wisdom, and love and life will become what you make it.
