👊 Today’s Power Thought ~ Be a Trailblazer

Blaze a trail people will want to follow. Mark it with good deeds. Sow seeds of love and compassion along the way. Your life will be well lived.

💡 Something to Think About

According to  Dr Joe Dispenza and his book – Evolve Your Brain – The Science of Changing Your Mind,

To change our reality and heal our bodies the secret ingredient lies in making up our mind to do so. We have the ability to fully recover and change our external circumstances exactly like those patients who are told they would never walk again yet do so, sport stars who suffer from irreversible injuries yet fully recover, or those who have suffered a life-threatening cancer and a few months later it is no where to be found. They understand the secret is having a powerful intention, believing they have the power to change their circumstances, loads of determination and the will to create what they want in life.

Are You Using Your Mind to Create a Positive life for yourself?  Or, Are You Letting Negative Thoughts Keep You Stuck?

🌾 Today’s Poem ~ Memory of Good Deeds

Memory of Good Deeds

Edwin Markham

The memory of good deeds will ever stay,
A lamp to light us on the darkened way,
A music to the ear on clamoring street,
A cooling well amid the noonday heat,
A scent of green boughs blown through narrow walls,
A feel of rest when quiet evening falls.

🍎 Today’s Health Question ~ Antibacterial Soap versus Plain Old Bar Soap, Which is Better?

Answer: According to doctors, stick with the plain old bar soap.

Reason: “Washing hands is key to keeping away cold germs, but I avoid using antibacterial soaps that contain triclosan, a chemical that may lead to antibiotic resistance. I use alcohol-based hand sanitizers and, when I’m near a sink, good old-fashioned soap and water — it kills 99.9 percent of germs.”

🌞 Today’s Inspiration ~ Let Your Light Shine

Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others.

~ Robert Louis Stevenson

🌾 Today’s Poem ~ Invictus

Invictus

William Ernest Henley

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
      For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud,
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

✒️ Writers’ Wisdom ~ The Starting Place for a Story

“It begins with a character, usually, and once he stands up on his feet and begins to move, all I can do is trot along behind him with a paper and pencil trying to keep up long enough to put down what he says and does.”

~ William Faulkner
