Why stick your nose into someone else’s business?
Why become angry over things you can’t influence or control?
Why visit the past if it brings up bad memories?
Why not enjoy every moment of life. It’s only one we’ve got.

Know your audience. Beginners sometimes want to appeal to the widest audience possible and so try to write for everyone. . . . But you can’t please everyone. . . Once you accept that, you can focus all of your energy on writing for the readers who will appreciate your hard work that much more.
Some fear flying.
Some fear getting a vaccine.
Some fear people who look different.
Some fear people who pray differently.
Some fear falling in love.
Fears abound like a locust swarm.
Fears are often illogical and hamper us from enjoying life and each other.
Who Am I?
Carl Sandburg
My head knocks against the stars.
My feet are on the hilltops.
My finger-tips are in the valleys and shores of
universal life.
Down in the sounding foam of primal things I
reach my hands and play with pebbles of
destiny.
I have been to hell and back many times.
I know all about heaven, for I have talked with God.
I dabble in the blood and guts of the terrible.
I know the passionate seizure of beauty
And the marvelous rebellion of man at all signs
reading “Keep Off.”
My name is Truth and I am the most elusive captive
in the universe.
Joe: “My girlfriend was excited I didn’t have to work on Friday.”
Pete: “What made you think she was excited?”
Joe: “When the pool guy came, she ran out of the house waving her arms shouting, “He’s home. He’s home.”
Don’t hang out with those who have all the answers. They don’t listen and they’re always right.
Do hang out with those who’s minds are open, inquisitive, and willing to listen and learn.
The Answer: Yes, If Bread is a Big Part of Your Daily Diet
Weight loss is about changing your calorie equation, meaning the number of calories you take in must be less than the number of calories you burn. To lose 1 pound to 1 1/2 pounds a week, your calorie equation must create a negative balance of 500 calories to 750 calories a day. If you’re eating six to 10 slices of whole-wheat bread a day and cut them all out of your diet, then you stand to lose 1 pound to 1 1/2 pounds a week.
If you don’t eat that much bread to begin with, you may not lose much by going bread-free. . . . If you eat bread with every meal, such as an English muffin with breakfast, a large pita at lunch and a roll with dinner, it can save you nearly 400 calories a day, which, over the course of four weeks, can lead to a 3-pound weight loss.

Waiting
Carl Sandburg
TODAY I will let the old boat stand
Where the sweep of the harbor tide comes in
To the pulse of a far, deep-steady sway.
And I will rest and dream and sit on the deck
Watching the world go by
And take my pay for many hard days gone I remember.
I will choose what clouds I like
In the great white fleets that wander the blue
As I lie on my back or loaf at the rail.
And I will listen as the veering winds kiss me and fold me
And put on my brow the touch of the world’s great will.
Daybreak will hear the heart of the boat beat,
Engine throb and piston play
In the quiver and leap at call of life.
To-morrow we move in the gaps and heights
On changing floors of unlevel seas
And no man shall stop us and no man follow
For ours is the quest of an unknown shore
And we are husky and lusty and shouting-gay.
“There are no rules. You can write a story, if you wish, with no conflict, no suspense, no beginning, middle or end. Of course, you have to be regarded as a genius to get away with it, and that’s the hardest part – convincing everybody you’re a genius.”
~ Fredric Brown
