🌾 Today’s Poem ~ Our Share of Night to Bear

Our share of night to bear
Emily Dickinson
Our share of night to bear —
Our share of morning —
Our blank in bliss to fill
Our blank in scorning —

Here a star, and there a star,
Some lose their way!
Here a mist, and there a mist,
Afterwards — Day!

Ever come home excited with good news and the one you love was waiting excited for you?

Ever watch a sports contest where your favorite team was playing for a championship and someone you loved was next to you cheering as hard as you?

Ever been suffering and the person you love wrapped his/her arms around you and whispered, “It will be okay?”

That’s the difference. Loving relationships make all the difference.

Today’s Smile 😃

Pete: “Did you do it?”

Joe: “Yes, but now we can’t read the list.”

🍎 Today’s Health Question ~How is the Sense of Belonging Related to Good Health?

A sense of belonging from our physical and mental health cannot be separated. The social ties that accompany a sense of belonging are a protective factor helping manage stress. When we feel we have support and are not alone, we often cope more effectively with difficult times in our lives. Coping well with hardships decreases the physical and mental impact of these situations.

The most crucial ingredient to building a sense of belonging is effort. You cannot belong if you don’t choose to make the effort to engage with others. Put in effort to seek activities and groups of people with whom you share common interests.
