What is your great dream? Is it time to unlock the door and let the dream out so you can chase it and not look back?

🌾 Today’s Poem ~ Tie Your Heart to Mine at Night, Love
Tie Your Heart to Mine at Night, Love
Pablo Neruda
Tie your heart at night to mine, love,
and both will defeat the darkness
like twin drums beating in the forest
against the heavy wall of wet leaves.
Night crossing: black coal of dream
that cuts the thread of earthly orbs
with the punctuality of a headlong train
that pulls cold stone and shadow endlessly.
Love, because of it, tie me to a purer movement,
to the grip on life that beats in your breast,
with the wings of a submerged swan,
So that our dream might reply
to the sky’s questioning stars
with one key, one door closed to shadow.
Today’s Smile 😃
Joe: “I was stopped for speeding, when I was only going the speed on the sign.”
Pete: “What happened?”
Joe: “I said, ‘Sir, I was only going the posted speed limit, 90 mph. He said, ‘That was the road number, not the speed limit.”
💡 Something to Think About
It is easy to express our honest feeling about another. It is difficult to be honest about ourselves with ourselves. We’re a mixture of light and darkness. The darkness within has great power when we deny it exists. When we name and expose our darkness to the light it disappears like the morning dew.
🌞 Today’s Inspiration ~ New Opportunities
“Every day is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday’s success or put its failures behind and start over again.” ~ Bob Feller
👊 Today’s Power Thought ~ Do What’s Right
Do what’s right even if it’s difficult and unpopular. You’ll never regret your decision.
Today’s Smile 😃
Joe: “My grandma’s dream came true. She always wanted to go to medical school.”
Pete: “That’s great. How’s she doing, Joe?”
Joe: “I’m not sure, She went to medical school as a cadaver.”
🤗 A Better Life ~ Hang On!
Don’t take the easy way and let go. Hang on with a tenacious grip. You’ll get the hang of it and soon you’ll be soaring with the eagles.
🍎 Today’s Health Tip ~ Should You Stretch a Strained Muscle?
Once the swelling has gone down and the muscle doesn’t hurt as much, you can incorporate more movement into your recovery. Some experts recommend gentle stretching for muscles that are recovering from a strain. Be careful not to over-stretch and re-injure the healing muscle fibers.
If stretching is very painful, stop and continue to rest the muscle. You can try again when you aren’t feeling as much pain. If you have questions about when to start stretching an injured muscle or what types of experiences are appropriate, call your doctor or visit a physical therapist. They can help you plan a safe return to normal activity.
💡 Something to Think About
No one can be sure of their journey. How many times I’ve had my best plans knocked away from me and I’ve been disappointed only to discover that something better was waiting for me. If we’re open to our unfolding path we may discover disappointments are the fertile ground of new and wonderful experiences. We experience a freedom that comes from letting go of desperately fighting to hold on to something that offers us a false sense of security. In this new freedom a myriad of opportunities become visible.
