There’s nothing you can do about the past to change it. Every once in a while it’s good reflect on our journey’s direction. It’s never too late to change. It’s never too late to become the man or woman you are destined to become.

💡 Something to Think About
Happy Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving Day, a day to be grateful, and give thanks to a kind and loving God who bestows all good things on us. May love, joy, friendship, and good health overflow abundantly on you and those you love this day.
Today’s Smile 😃
Joe: “I made dinner for two last night.”
Pete: “I see things working out with your new girlfriend.”
Joe: “I ending up eating both meals.”
🌾 Today’s Poem ~ Thanksgiving
And do not see the daisies;
For blessings common in our sight
We rarely offer praises.
We sigh for some supreme delight
To crown our lives with splendor,
And quite ignore our daily store
Of pleasures sweet and tender.
Our cares are bold and push their way
Upon our thought and feeling.
They hang about us all the day,
Our time from pleasure stealing.
So unobtrusive many a joy
We pass by and forget it,
But worry strives to own our lives
And conquers if we let it.
There’s not a day in all the year
But holds some hidden pleasure,
And looking back, joys oft appear
To brim the past’s wide measure.
But blessings are like friends, I hold,
Who love and labor near us.
We ought to raise our notes of praise
While living hearts can hear us.
Full many a blessing wears the guise
Of worry or of trouble.
Farseeing is the soul and wise
Who knows the mask is double.
But he who has the faith and strength
To thank his God for sorrow
Has found a joy without alloy
To gladden every morrow.
We ought to make the moments notes
Of happy, glad Thanksgiving;
The hours and days a silent phrase
Of music we are living.
And so the theme should swell and grow
As weeks and months pass o’er us,
And rise sublime at this good time,
A grand Thanksgiving chorus.
✒️ Writers’ Wisdom ~ Will Outlining Help Your Writing?
“An outline is crucial. It saves so much time. When you write suspense, you have to know where you’re going because you have to drop little hints along the way. With the outline, I always know where the story is going. So before I ever write, I prepare an outline of 40 or 50 pages.” ~John Grisham
🌞 Today’s Inspiration ~ Two Important Words
“If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.”
~ Meister Eckhart
👊 Today’s Power Thought ~ Don’t Let Today Slip Away
Don’t let today slip away. Grab hold of it and hang on tight. Don’t let it throw you. Squeeze it tight for all the goodness it holds for you and those you love. Don’t let a second slip away.
✒️ Writers’ Wisdom ~ Write for an Audience of One (Yourself)
‘Most writers who are beginners, if they are honest with themselves, will admit that they are praying for a readership as they begin to write. But it should be the quality of the craft, not the audience, that should be the greatest motivating factor.’ ~ Chinua Achebe
🌾 Today’s Poem ~ Bond and Free
Bond and Free
Robert Frost
Love has earth to which she clings
With hills and circling arms about –
Wall within wall to shut fear out.
But Thought has need of no such things,
For Thought has a pair of dauntless wings.
On snow and sand and turf, I see
Where Love has left a printed trace
With straining in the world’s embrace.
And such is Love and glad to be.
But Thought has shaken his ankles free.
Thought cleaves the interstellar gloom
And sits in Sirius’ disc all night,
Till day makes him retrace his flight,
With smell of burning on every plume,
Back past the sun to an earthly room.
His gains in heaven are what they are.
Yet some say Love by being thrall
And simply staying possesses all
In several beauty that Thought fares far
To find fused in another star.
