There’s a big difference between what I want and what I need.
Taking care of needs first eliminates a lot of stress.

Pure Cranberry Juice is a Healthy Choice
Pure cranberry juice — the unsweetened juice of cranberries — is often used to treat urinary tract infections, although whether it is effective has not been medically proven. But cranberry juice has other health attributes such as being high in vitamins and minerals, and it may improve heart health. Pure cranberry juice contains the minerals calcium, magnesium, potassium, selenium, iron and zinc and is a good source of 15 essential vitamins including vitamins C, B6, B12, E, K and A as well as thiamine, niacin and riboflavin. It may also play a role in improving heart health.
We’re surrounded by naysayers. They like to criticize, point out how terrible life is and tell us the future holds no hope. If I listened to them, I’d pull the covers over my head and stay in bed. Sure, there are problems, problems are the stuff that we solve. The future will be what we make it. Don’t listen to the naysayers. It’s a beautiful day, it’s going to get better, and if we choose, we can be part of making it better.
“Change your thoughts and you change your world.” ~ Norman Vincent Peale
Joe: “My girlfriend and I went hiking and made it to the top of a mountain.”
Pete: “Did you have fun?”
Joe: “Everything went downhill after that.”
The Heart of a Tree
Henry Cuyler Bunner
What does he plant who plants a tree?
He plants a friend of sun and sky;
He plants the flag of breezes free;
The shaft of beauty, towering high;
He plants a home to heaven anigh;
For song and mother-croon of bird
In hushed and happy twilight heard—
The treble of heaven’s harmony—
These things he plants who plants a tree.
What does he plant who plants a tree?
He plants cool shade and tender rain,
And seed and bud of days to be,
And years that fade and flush again;
He plants the glory of the plain;
He plants the forest’s heritage;
The harvest of a coming age;
The joy that unborn eyes shall see—
These things he plants who plants a tree.
What does he plant who plants a tree?
He plants, in sap and leaf and wood,
In love of home and loyalty
And far-cast thought of civic good—
His blessings on the neighborhood,
Who in the hollow of His hand
Holds all the growth of all our land—
A nation’s growth from sea to sea
Stirs in his heart who plants a tree.
“Being a fiction writer is really like being an actor, because if you’re going to write convincingly it has to sound right and play right. The only way that works is to emotionally and technically act out and see the scene you’re in.” ~ Ridley Pearson
At the end of 2022 we’ll all be one year older.
How much we grow emotionally and spiritually and learn is up to us.
Fear is an anchor that prevents us from reaching our true potential. Is it time to cut loose of the anchor and fearlessly, with a hope-filled heart, walk toward tomorrow?
The best time to offer another advice is when they ask for it, not before.
